Yung Husain began his musical journey freestyling in High School as just a hobby. He soon developed a reputation as one of the best freestyle artists both at school, and in his Missouri City Texas Neighborhood. Whether he was battling another MC or freestyling to impress his classmates, no topic was off limit when Reggie started rapping: from his achievements, disappointments, major turning points, and setbacks, Reggie rapped about everything. What began as just a hobby soon turned to a full-fledged obsession as Reggie decided to take his talents to the next level. Inspired by many of the Houston Rappers he grew up listening to, he knew he had to be more than just a High School and Neighborhood legend to be successful in the music industry. He jumped at every opportunity to get on stage and try out new material in front of a live audience, slowly building a name for himself performing at talent shows, car shows, and nightclubs in and around the Houston area. When he was approached by Speekeezy Entertainment to record a MixTape, he knew this was the break he had been waiting for. Like any young MC eager to increase his fan base by showcasing his talents on the MIC, this was his chance to step into the spotlight and prove his skills not only as a freestyle artist but also as a talented writer. He spent hours hanging around the studio scribbling in his notepad, carefully crafting his verses and waiting for his chance to jump on the MIC. With instrumentals from some of today’s hottest producers, the tracks for Yung Husain’s debut MixTape began to take shape. The MixTape was appropriately titled Last Man Standing in response to anyone who ever doubted his talents, or said he wouldn’t make it this far as a Recording Artist. It’s hard to say what separates Reggie’s Last Man Standing from the thousands of other MixTapes released by aspiring MCs every year, but anyone who listens to any one of its tracks can easily tell that this is not just another Rapper with another
