About Prince Marley

Prince Marley born Prince McEntyre adapted the stage name Prince Marley because of what the late and great Bob Marley stood for. “Love, Peace, and truth.” Born in Brooklyn, NY and moving to Roanoke, Virginia in his early teens in search of a better life. Prince would soon find out that that no matter the location, the experience of poverty would be the same. Dropping out of high school to help take care of his family, Prince turned to the streets for his lessons and class. He always had a love for music with an authentic message with artist such as Jeezy, Jay-Z, and Boosie playing in his cd deck. Being an artist wasn’t initially on his list of goals, but he would eventually find out that he had a gift with making music; and just like those artists in his cd deck, he would follow suit in spreading authentic messages. Releasing his first tape in 2012 titled “My Overnight Idea (The prequel).” Prince would follow up with “My Overnight Idea (The Warning)” in 2013. The official “My Overnight Idea” tape was the final rollout of his My Overnight Idea series which had features from hip-hop legends such as Jadakiss. Around the same time of the official “My Overnight Idea” tape being released, the streets began to close in on Prince and he would go to Jail for 2 years in 2015. After being released in 2017 Prince decided to focus solely on the management side of music, but the creative side of music would eventually find him again. With his upcoming Sacrifice tape being released in 2019, Prince is speaking about the pain, sacrifices, and the rollercoaster ride that life takes you on. All sides will be told. The gutter and the glory.
